Nick's Ouzo Lemonade or Ούζο λεμονάδα
In Nicholas Eternal, Nick is rarely seen without his flask of ouzo. Although Nick might have decided to lay off that for a while...he thinks the rest of us should enjoy an ouzo cocktail.
One must start out, of course, with a bottle of ouzo. In order for it to officially be ouzo, it must be made in either Greece, where Nick is originally from, or Cyprus as it is considered a PDO (Protected designation of origin). Did you know that in Greece there are entire taverns devoted to the distribution of ouzo? That's right. They are called ouzeries!
1 ounce of ouzo
12 ounces of lemonade (homemade is best, store-bought works also)
Garnish:
Slice of lemon
A sprig of rosemary is a lovely compliment to the licorice-like undertone of ouzo.
